rugs

  • I use 100% wool yarn by Brown Sheep Co. for my pieces. When I first started learning to tuft, I used acrylic yarn because of its affordability. However, I wanted a more environmentally friendly fiber, so I have moved over to wool because it is soft, durable, biodegradable, and flame resistant.

Brown Sheep Co. is a family owned and operated yarn spinning mill located in Nebraska that prides itself on "green" practices. The company has been creating natural and sustainable yarn at their own mill for 35 years, recycling 70%-90% of their daily waste water as just one of the many efforts to leave a small footprint.

  • To keep your rugs looking fresh, you can clean them with a vaccum or lint brush. Upon arrival, shedding is normal and will settle after a few days. Spot clean with mild soap and water. Do not machine wash, bleach, or iron. Keep in low traffic areas or hang on the wall to ensure longevity.
