Sabrina Lozada is a Chicago based multidisciplinary artist. Previously exploring graphic design and fashion design, she discovered textile art as a way to marry her two passions. Her work is inspired by her childhood, telling stories, and things that bring joy.

Growing up for Sabrina, Saturday mornings were a time that she felt the most carefree. No school, no homework, no pressing tasks were weighing on her. She could enjoy breakfast without rushing off somewhere and indulge in watching cartoons. The goal for this exhibition is to invoke feelings of nostalgia using imagery of American breakfast items and early 2000’s cartoons while utilizing tufting to create a feeling of warmth and safety. Guests are invited to relive the pleasure of a leisurely Saturday morning.
